Win Win Mulled Wine Coffee

Ingredients (per serving)

  • Brewed coffee: 200 ml (approx. 7 oz) of Win Win Kenya Dark Roast

  • Mulled wine (homemade or store-bought): 100 ml (approx. 3–4 oz)

  • Sweetener (optional): 1 teaspoon honey, sugar, or your preferred sweetener

  • Spices (mulled spice blend):
     • 1 small cinnamon stick (or ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon)
     • 2 whole cloves
     • 1 star anise (optional)
     • A small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
     • Peel or slice of orange (for aroma / brightness)

  • Garnish (optional):
     • Orange slice or twist
     • Cinnamon stick
     • A few cloves or star anise on top

Mulled Wine Preparation (if making from scratch)

  1. In a small saucepan, combine about 250 ml (1 cup) red wine + the spices (cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, ginger, and orange peel).

  2. Heat gently on low–medium, without boiling. Let it simmer for 8–10 minutes, allowing flavors to infuse. Strain out the spices.

  3. Optionally sweeten to taste (e.g. add honey or sugar).

  4. Use ~100 ml of this warm mulled wine per coffee serving.

Tip: Don’t overheat or boil the wine, so you preserve its aroma and avoid strong alcohol evaporation.

Instructions:

  1. Brew 200 ml of Win Win Kenya Dark Roast using your preferred method (French press, drip, pour-over, etc.).

  2. While the coffee is hot, pour in about 100 ml of the warm mulled wine (adjust to your liking).

  3. Stir gently. Taste; if needed, sweeten with your preferred sweetener.

  4. Pour into a serving mug.

  5. Garnish with an orange slice, cinnamon stick, or star anise.

  6. Serve warm — ideal for chilly evening sipping.
